Surfing at Balian Beach, Tabanan, Bali


The island of Bali is rich in the charm of the resort, ranging from Kuta Beach, Sanur Beach, and Pandawa Beach inexhaustible attracts the attention of domestic and foreign visitors to visit the place. One of them is Balian Beach located in Lalang linggah Village, Selemadeg Barat District, Tabanan Regency, Bali Indonesia. Formerly, the name of this beach comes from the name of the River that is there. There is a river called Balian River, Balian river has 11 tributaries and for the local community this river is considered sacred, hitherto still used for self-purification (peninggatan).

Water from the Balian river directly to the sea, and downstream of the Balian river on the shore, it can be concluded that the name of Balian beach mentioned is because the downstream of Tukad Balian is on the shore, hence until now the beach is called and famous by the name of Balian beach .

Like most other beach resorts in Bali, the best time to visit the beach is before sunrise / sunset, while for the beach Balian because it is located on the south coast in western Bali, the best time to visit is in the afternoon before Sunset / sunset. But if you want to surf to feel the beautiful waves Beach balian usually adjusted with the weather conditions, the state of the ocean currents and the location and height of the waves. 


Although Balian Beach is famous for its beautiful waves and a paradise for surfers, surfers must remain vigilant about shark attacks. Sometimes the bull sharks are seen swimming around the beach.
